Why use tarot and oracle cards?
They are used as a tool of interpretation that's based on impressions, archetypes and imagery. A reading gives the opportunity for self-reflection and understanding some of the complex emotional and behavior patterns we have as humans. Like all art and entertainment, it's a window that frames our view in a new, different, fascinating and curious way.
And...it's kinda fun :)
What should I ask about?
It's been my experience that if you ask for a general reading without much direction, the cards tend to be cheeky; they will point out exactly where you are right now, without much further insight. If you don't ask, they don't answer! The more specific and refined your questions are, the more will be revealed.

If you have a clear question ahead of time, great! If not, here are some questions to consider, if you don't have a specific query in mind:

--Is there something I'm ignoring in my life that I should give my attention to?
--What is the path before me right now?
Sometimes the questions you want to ask come to you during the reading! Live Readings offer you the opportunity to ask right then and there. Expansion Readings are available after any recorded or live reading to take the original reading deeper and find out more.
Live vs Recorded
In a personalized and private Live Reading, we start with going over your question and the circumstances around it again, just so we're both on the same page. Together we do a quick grounding exercise to focus our intentions and connect our energy, and then we'll pull some cards and see where we go!
A Live Reading offers the opportunity to ask clarifying questions as we move through the cards.
Although we'll be on Google Meet or another video call platform, you do not have to be on camera; you can keep the video blocked, if you feel more comfortable.
The Live Reading will be recorded, and will be privately sent to you via link within 48 hours after the reading. This link is for your personal purposes only, and will not be shared with anyone else by me.
A Recorded Reading is very straightforward with minimal interaction; once it's booked, if I need any further information for the reading I'll reach out to you via email within 24 hours of your payment.
Your private, personalized Recorded Reading will be sent to you within 4 business days of booking.
It all comes down to personal preference- and you can be in your pajamas for either :)
Tarot No-No's
Using the cards to peek in on someone else's life, motivations, intentions and well-being is an invasion of privacy. Big no-no!
Readings are not meant to be used for financial gain. Trust me, if I could use them to win the lottery, I would have already.
The cards should NOT be used for medical advice. See your doctor for that!
Tarot is entertainment, and shouldn't be used as a guarantee for life happenings or world events.
Tarot is not witchcraft. It's not magic. While I respect that some practitioners of witchcraft also use tarot, it's not my personal intention when I read tarot, nor is it in my wheelhouse.
About Guidance Readings
A Guidance Reading doesn't just give you answers to your questions- it takes you along on the journey of how those answers come about through the cards. It's your guided tour, and you get a front row seat to the path as we explore it.
As we put together the layers of meaning in the imagery and symbolism, the astrological associations, the planetary influences, the elemental designations and my own insight and intuition, the messages in the cards won't just be handed to you- it will be understood by you, and you'll be able to see it, too.
Readings are confidential.
Every session is a sacred space we create together. Your personal information and the details of your reading are held in strict confidence.
About Shadow Work
Shadow work as a spiritual practice sheds light on the subconscious and unconscious parts that we instinctively keep suppressed- the things we (try to!) hide about ourselves that we are conditioned to believe are shameful, wrong, or do not fit the expectations and views others may have about us.
It's the stuff that stands in the way!
Shadow readings can be emotionally impactful, powerful sessions. It can be uncomfortable, but there's no growth- spiritual, mental, emotional or physical- without some pain.
A shadow reading begins with a brief conversation to understand the question you have and the answers you're trying to find.
We do a mutual grounding exercise together, and begin exploring the cards and the truths that unfold in the patterns that have been built around fears, hurt, protective and defensive actions and internal struggles.
Together, we bring gentle light to these shadows- with care, with compassion, with open minds and open hearts, and with acceptance and grace, and at the end we will close with a moment of rebalance and reflection.
Shadow Readings are available as a Live Reading only.
Should I be worried about what the cards may say?
The cards don't tell you what to do; they tell you what to focus on to figure it out for yourself. At their core, the cards are just pieces of cardboard printed with pretty pictures.
Tarot cards do not read your fortune or predict the future. While the cards might help you understand events and circumstances on a broader scale, you still have free will to make choices that affect the outcome of your own life.
How should I prepare for a reading?
Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be interrupted. You'll probably want pen and paper to take notes. Make sure you have a good strong internet connection, and let's have some fun together!
Can I gift a Reading to someone?
Live Readings can be gifted via Gift Card.
Recorded Readings can be gifted by Gift Card, or by indicating it is a gift when you book the reading. The first name and email address of the recipient is required so that I can communicate with them and deliver their reading link.
Please only book a recorded reading for someone else with their full permission and advance knowledge. Things can get really awkward otherwise.
